I'm just wondering how hard and what modifications are needed to swap the automatic transmission to manual. I have an automatic car and a manual car and they are both 88. The auto car is nicer all around so I'm thinking of using the manual car as a donor

Do a search. This topic has been discussed many times.

Hardest part of the swap is gathering all the parts, which you already have.
