NATO Message Board Logo Dedicated to the 1983-1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe

Forum Rules
The NATO Message Board (NMB) is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and enjoying 1983 - 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbocoupes and 1984 - 1986 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Turbos.

Respect that we are not here to help you put Turbocoupe/Turbo Cougar parts in other cars. There are other web sites that do that, and if that's your goal please go there and do not register here.

You must have a valid, active, and acceptable email account to register. The NMB Management (NMBM) may, at it's sole discretion, limit or disallow the use of various email providers at any time. Also, since inactive email accounts cause more work for administrators on an ongoing basis, if your email address becomes invalid the NMBM has the the right to suspend your posting privileges. Although we will make an attempt to contact you first, unresponsive registrants will have their user name and password removed from the user list. Additionally, you are encouraged (but not required) to make your email address public for use by other club members. You may update your email address at any time in the "My Stuff" profile area, so please keep it current.

Registering for this Message Board and being approved does not make you an "Official" NATO Member, it makes you a registered Messageboard user. Some areas of the NATO Site and this Message Board are restricted to Official Members only. If you would like to become an Official Member and thus support the Club so we will be here to help in the future, please go HERE.

You are required to list your state, province (or equivalent) and your country of residence if not in the USA. Registrations without this information will be rejected. This information is also required if sale ads are posted. It can also help in the diagnosis of certain types of problems and it lets buyers or sellers know what area the sale material is in.

We ask that you provide a signature that contains basic information about your Thunderbird Turbocoupe/Turbo Cougar. This should include the vehicle year, it's transmission type, and a brief listing of major restoration or modifications (if any). This saves people asking for this data to assist with your questions. Two to four lines of information should be sufficient.

We are trying to maintain a family friendly board. You agree that you will not post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, hateful, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, obscene, sexually oriented, profane, or in violation of any community, state, or country laws. You also agree not to post copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have specific written permission from the copyright holder to do so.

You acknowledge that the NMBM does not review the messages that are posted, and is therefore not responsible for any objectionable or inaccurate message content, and that we reserve the right to edit or delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You are solely responsible for the content of your messages, and further you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the NMB, NATO as an organization, the NATO Officers and members, Infopop, Inc. (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their various agents, both collectively and individually, with respect to any claim based upon your use of the NMB.

In the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message or response posted by you, or for any other use of this board by you, the NMBM reserves the right to reveal your identity and whatever other information we have about you to authorized individuals and law enforcement officers and organizations.

You agree to use the search feature before asking simple questions. There is a abundance of data in the message archives and most questions have already been asked, answered, and discussed many times in many message threads. Use the search feature to acquaint yourself with this information, and then if you still have questions, consider reviving an existing message thread before starting a brand new one. You can find instructions on the search feature at HERE.

Note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are totally inappropriate on the NMB and will be removed immediately; repeat offenders of this rule will be banned. Any dishonesty in buying or selling will result in the perpetrator(s) being banned, and any information we have about you will be shared around the web automotive community and given to other message boards.

You agree to use the privilege of including pictures and video in posts to enhance those posts, and to not allow such pictures and videos to become the post's main purpose. In other words, pictures and videos should be the "gravy" for the "meat" of the post.
